The following two activities are specifically organized for you as junior researcher. Please indicate whether you want to join these activities. It will help us to estimate the number of participants.
Workshop Bingo! for Academics
In this workshop PhD students will be invited to find connections, share experiences and exchange advice by playing a game in a very informal setting.
Meet a mentor
We also invite you to participate in the network program “Meet a mentor” during the conference. This program provides you the opportunity to have a private meeting with an experienced researcher. During this meeting you can benefit from his/ her experience and ask for advice on your work and career (more info). Please indicate if you are interested in joining this network program. In that case you will receive a list of mentors by e-mail just after your registration, in which you can select the mentor that matches your interests most closely.
Pre-conference workshop on Wednesday afternoon (29 January)
Next to the activities during the conference, we also offer a workshop on Wednesday afternoon (the day before the conference) for junior researchers. This will be a fun and interactive workshop on “Successfully Communicating in Academia" – how to avoid miscommunication and become a more effective and efficient communicator. In the evening, you can join us for dinner & drinks in Egmond aan Zee.
If you would like to attend the workshop, please subscribe via this link. We have limited spots available for the workshop, so reserve your spot ASAP. Participating in the workshop is free of charge for ARPH junior members, but dinner and drinks are at your own costs.
